Why Haven't I Seen the Prize Icon Today? (Understanding the Rolling Surf Count)

A common question we receive from surfers is: "I've been surfing for a while today, but I haven't seen the PromoSlice claim icon yet. Is it broken?"

The short answer is: No, it isn't broken! Your progress is being tracked perfectly.

The reason you might not see the icon immediately when a new day starts comes down to how PromoSlice calculates your milestones. Here is exactly how it works:

1. PromoSlice Counts by Promo, Not by Day
Unlike traditional traffic exchange games that reset your progress to zero when the server resets at midnight, PromoSlice never resets your daily progress. Your page count accumulates continuously for the entire duration of the active promo. This means you never lose a single page you have surfed!

2. How the Milestones Work
Because your count rolls over, the claim icons will always appear at fixed overall milestones based on the promo's specific requirements (for example, every 76 pages).
  • 1st Claim: 76 total pages
  • 2nd Claim: 152 total pages (76 + 76)
  • 3rd Claim: 228 total pages (152 + 76)
  • ...and so on.

3. A Real-World Example
Let's say a promo requires 76 pages per claim, and you surfed 100 pages yesterday:
  • You hit your 1st claim at page 76.
  • You kept surfing for another 24 pages before stopping (bringing your total to 100).
  • When you log in today, you already have a 24-page head start toward your next milestone!
  • Your 2nd claim will appear after you surf just 52 more pages today (\(152 - 100 = 52\)).
Once you claim that icon, your counter resets toward the next 76-page block.

Why is this system better for you?
With the old system, if you couldn't finish a full block of pages before the midnight reset, those extra clicks were lost. With our rolling system, every single click always counts toward your next prize, no matter what time of day or night you prefer to surf!

Pro-Tip on Icon Visibility
Every Traffic Exchange owner uses their own custom layout to ensure their paid advertisements are fully visible. Because of this, the PromoSlice icon might appear on the left, center, or far right depending on the site. If you can't find it, look closely around the edges of the surfbar—and make sure to check out our updated flashing/pulsing icon, which is now much easier to spot!
